COLINET Project Team Discusses Website Launch, Accreditation, and Proposal Timeline

The COLINET research team held an online meeting on July 31, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM to discuss important updates and preparations related to the NCCA proposal submission and the accreditation process.

Prof. Catherine Daffon began the meeting with a walkthrough of the newly developed COLINET website, highlighting its improved structure, updated content, and the successful installation of the SSL certificate. Prof. Anita Sornito provided detailed suggestions for enhancing the website, such as updating the homepage background image, linking institutional member logos to their official websites, adding COLINET’s history under the About Us section, arranging the list of member names alphabetically, including past Board of Trustees under About Us, and updating the Programs and Services section.

Prof. Susan Martinez then presented updates on the progress of COLINET’s resource listings.

A key part of the meeting was the presentation of the Accreditation Checklist for COLINET by Prof. Melecio Cordero. He clarified the specific documentary requirements for applying for accreditation, as this is COLINET’s first time to undergo the process. The team is working diligently to comply with all the listed requirements, which is a crucial step for the development of the COLINET project on the Digitization of Filipiniana Resources, one of its flagship initiatives.

Further clarifications were made by COLINET President Prof. Dielita, who confirmed the availability of key documents and ensured that all participating institutions are aligned and prepared.

To close the session, Prof. Sornito also reviewed important dates and deadlines, including the internal review period, submission targets, and the August 31 final deadline. She encouraged early submission to allow time for revisions and adjustments.

However, the scheduled reporting from component leaders was not completed due to a power interruption. A follow-up faceto-face meeting will be held in the first week of August to finalize the discussions and preparations.

The COLINET research team remains focused on meeting all accreditation requirements and successfully pursuing its digitization project.
