COLINET Librarians Celebrate Solidarity Night 2023 in Midsayap

The Cotabato Libraries and Information Network (COLINET) gathered for an evening of camaraderie, inspiration, and professional fellowship during the Librarians’ Solidarity Night held on April 28, 2023, at Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) in Midsayap, Cotabato.

Hosted by NDMC’s Library and Information Center, the event brought together library professionals from academic, school, public, and special libraries across the Cotabato Province The evening served as a celebration of unity and shared commitment to excellence in library and information services.

With the theme "Strengthening Ties, Empowering Minds," the Solidarity Night featured a dynamic program that included welcome messages, presentations, games, cultural intermissions, and recognition of member contributions. It also highlighted the importance of collaboration, continuing education, and innovation in librarianship.

In her welcome address Analiza C. Santanez, Chief Librarian of Notre Dame of Midsayap College, emphasized the role of gatherings like these in fostering stronger ties among information professionals. “This night is more than a celebration—it is a testament to our shared passion for service, learning, and leadership in our respective communities,” she noted.

Dielita M. Garcia President of COLINET, expressed gratitude to NDMC for their warm hospitality and to the members for their active involvement in the network’s initiatives. “Our unity as a network strengthens not only our institutions but also the lives of the people we serve,” the president said.

The event also featured fun-filled activities such as a talent showcase, raffles, and a fellowship dinner—providing a space for librarians to unwind, reconnect, and celebrate their shared identity.
